WE MAKE THE COMMITMENT/mesh football jersey

I'm pretty much obsessed with this thrifted mesh jersey.  I found this gem in the kids department at our local thrift store and I've already planned our future together.  I mean...this could go with fancy mini skirts, jeans, leggings or maybe even my Wang tuxedo pants!  I'm so in love!

TEAM SPIRIT/lpd new york team miuccia printed cotton-jersey t-shirt

Not only did I succumb to the power of the Zara skort, but I also succumbed to the power of the Les Plus Dores jersey.  I couldn't resist.

I was tempted all along, but which team????  Well after the Prada S/S 2014 show last week, I knew that I was for sure Team Prada!  That show stayed with me for days after.  And I am still eagerly anticipating the arrival of those shoes in my wardrobe.

Speaking of shoes...notice my new babies.  I notice that my walk is much heavier in these shoes.  They are so clunky for me and it seems that my walk tends to emulate the style.  I decided that the only way to conquer a successful walk in these shoes is to have a soundtrack.  I put on Crimewave by Crystal Castles and my walk surely corrected itself as I marched to the beat of the music.  Problem solved.  Now, if only I could have a permanent playlist playing in my head...then I could conquer these booties for good.

I LOVE THE 90s/zara checked/floral combination blouse

The 90s trend is still very much alive and I'm going to keep running with it for as long as I can.  The 90s may not mean much to everyone, but I was a teenager during the 90s and therefore, this time period holds a very special place in my heart.  I remember the good music, My So Called Life and everything grunge.

With that being said...I have to mention that I am loving the plaid and floral separates that Zara is offering right now.  It's a perfect way to update your look and attain that perfect grunge look that has taken over the fashion world this A/W 2013.  Don't be afraid of mixing prints either.  Think Saint Laurent A/W 2013 as you mix it up.  Try stars with florals, plaids with hearts and any other print combo your mind can imagine.  I would also suggest adding a flannel to your next sexy night-out look.  I promise...it will not fail you.  Think Angela Chase; think Alicia Silverstone in Aerosmith videos; and last but not least, think Liv Tyler in Empire Records...let them be your guides and you will not fail.

Click on the clicks below.  I have linked to my favorite Zara pieces that can add just a touch of 90's to your current wardrobe.

WISHFUL MAKEUPING/ beauty products

I have purchased all new beauty products for the season and I can tell you that buying all new makeup has made getting ready fun again.  I used to love makeup, but it seems that I have lost interest over the years, which resulted in me buying cheap, drugstore makeup.  Drugstore makeup is fine for some things, but I think that a girl should splurge on certain beauty items.  Here's what I bought for A/W 2013 and how I feel about my purchases.

Smashbox Photo Finish Targeted Pore & Line Primer:  I did some research and decided to give primer a try again.  Now that I am getting older, I worry about little lines and wrinkles on my face.  The primer supposedly fills in lines and wrinkles and I can honestly say that it has made a positive difference for me.

Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Foundation: I read that buying an expensive primer is useless if you are still using cheap foundation.  So I opted for a hydrating foundation from Smashbox to help me battle the dry Colorado climate.  I'm still getting used to applying it.  You have to act quick as this foundation goes on like glue and continues to get stickier as you rub it in.  I even find that my hand gets sore as I am rubbing this stuff in.  I do like the coverage though and it does stay on all day, which is a welcome surprise.  I found that applying a moisturizer prior to putting on the primer and foundation helps with the application process.  I also have found that applying a little moisturizer over the foundation works wonders if trying to attain a more natural look.

NARS Flaming Dust Lipstick: I've had this lipstick for years.  I think that they have discontinued this color so I use it sparingly.

NARS Exhibit A Blush: It doesn't take much of this stuff before you start to look a bit cheap, so please be careful.  Tone down color with powder if necessary.

Rimmel London Volume Flash the MAX Bold Curves Mascara: I have a serious crush on this mascara.  This stuff is amazing!  It doesn't clump and gives lots of volume...plus, the price is right!

Eyeliner: I bought E.L.F. liquid eyeliner.  I also use NARS Night Porter to blend it in.

Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream: I always put eye cream under my eyes over my makeup.  It is absolutely necessary to combat those little under eye wrinkles.  I opted for this one because I know that caffeine can work wonders for both wrinkles and cellulite.  So far...I love it.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the products above.  I am still learning too, but I am happy to help if I can.
